There are a number of ways you can get involved with ChanceLight® autism services!
Attend Adult Family Member Support Groups
We offer monthly support groups for adult family members of children with autism spectrum disorders. Adult Family Member Support Groups provide an uplifting environment with important resources, expert guest and pertinent information for families. Childcare and refreshments are provided. These support groups are open to ChanceLight® clients and the public. For questions or more information about our Adult Family Member Support Groups, please contact Anna Bullard at email@example.com
Attend Client Respite Nights
ChanceLight® autism services is happy to provide Respite Nights to our client families. These services are offered to ChanceLight® client caregivers to provide social opportunities and give parents/guardians a night on the town. While you’re enjoying some well-deserved time “off,” we provide three hours of therapeutic care for children and siblings including dinner, activities and projects. For information on the next event please check your clinic event calendar or talk to your clinic staff.
Attend SibShops Support Groups for Siblings of Children with Autism
Sibshops are a safe and fun place where brothers and sisters of children with autism can meet and get to know one another. They allow siblings to share both the joys and challenges of having a brother or sister with autism through discussion and play. Siblings can expect games, fun, and discussion. For information on the next event please check your clinic event calendar or talk to your clinic staff.
Support Legislative Advocacy Efforts
We support advocacy statewide for families to access medically necessary treatment for autism. As a leader in Applied Behavior Analysis, we strive to educate those individuals that make decisions concerning funding for autism that directly affect families ability to receive services. Anna Bullard, ChanceLight®’s Director of Outreach and Advocacy, is a parent of a child with autism who fought for 6 years to pass Ava’s Law in Georgia for children to access treatment who have private insurance. We are committed to advocacy to support families. If you are interested in being involved in advocacy in your state or would like to know more about what is going on in your state concerning autism legislation please contact our Advocacy Director, Anna Bullard at firstname.lastname@example.org or (912) 293-5217.
